"SCOUTS OUT, FIRST IN, LAST OUT"

PRIMARY MISSION: WILDERNESS (OVERLAND) SEARCH AND RESCUE
SECONDARY MISSION: INCIDENT AND DISASTER RECONNAISSANCE

WE'RE AN ELITE BROTHERHOOD THAT TRANSCENDS RANK, BACKGROUND, HERITAGE, RACE OR CREED.

ANY MISSION, ANY TIME, SO OTHERS MAY LIVE!

Here is our challenge:

If you can handle a little hard work and long hours in an environment with great rewards then this may just well be the place for you. If you can value the rewards of being a volunteer knowing well the hazards of the profession you will be working in, possibilities of performing in a heavily damaged disaster area, helping people with unfamiliar faces and voices then you may just have what it takes to be a team member of 1st Platoon. Meet the challenges and accept the rewards by signing up today.

1st Platoon members work closely together and rely on each other for long periods of time, both during deployments and in their community.  Because of this, they develop close relationships and personal ties which foster a team cohesion and esprit de corps which is rarely found elsewhere.

1st Platoon do not receive any additional financial benefits for their enhanced capabilities, special skills and advanced training, along with the associated hazards that they face. However, financial rewards are not the primary motivators in this unit. More important to most Radiers are the intangible rewards such as job satisfaction, training opportunities, professionalism, responsibility, camaraderie, and the feeling of belonging.  For many, being considered the best at what you do; relied upon for the toughest missions and succeeding at what others dare not try is reward enough. To Radiers this is a way of live, we do these things "So That Others May Live"

Your first challenge is to pass the physical training requirements (SAR-AS). This job isn’t for everyone. Upon meeting this first mandate you will enter an arena of training not offered to everyone. Our rigorous regiment of training includes Incident Command System, SAR Operations, SAR Tactics, Tracking, Survival, Technical, Overland, High Angle, Repelling, Land Navigation, Landing Zone (LZ) prep for helicopters, Radio Operations, and Medical Training.

1st Platoon is designed to provide soldiers with training in Leadership Skills, Reconnaissance, Land Navigation, Map Reading, Field First Aid, Survival, Leader Technical and Tactical Values, Attributes, Skills, and Actions needed to lead a squad or platoon size unit.

1st Platoon trains to lead the way in whatever mission may be assigned, to be willing to respond in any situation, and assist in real life saving challenges as they happen. We are always looking for a few exceptional candidates. Is it you? Do you think that you can handle being apart of 1st Platoon?
